Project Description: Kia Ora Bryndwr - Connect with Kai Advertising Signage

Client: Christchurch City Council - Fendalton, Waimairi, Harewood Ward

Project Overview:

A Christchurch City Council community outreach officer reached out to Daniel Price Art & Design, referred on from the Avonhead-Russley Community Network projects, in order to request design of some advertising for a community picnic event happening in Bryndwr, Christchurch at the start of 2025.

Design Challenge:

This project required the design of corflute signs, electronic poster graphics as well as printed posters for distribution throughout the area. This also involved Daniel Price Art & Design's approaching of third-party print providers in order to organise and facilitate the production of the signage. The designs had to be evocative of the overall tone and community-based atmosphere of the sharing of food and people, while also effectively communicating the necessary details for the event and organiser contacts.

Creative Solution:

Daniel Price Art & Design involved creating assets that carried a relaxed and communal tone which centered primarily around the depiction of shared food. Alongside typography which effectively communicated necessary details in a trendy, fashionable manner. Graphics were created for a variety of formats so that the advertising and visual identity were malleable and able to be cleanly transferred into the different necessary media.

Project Results:

The event organisers were happy with the result, and the advertising collateral was disseminated into the community for the event without issue.
