Project Description: Winners & Losers Independent Film - Poster

Project Overview:

Daniel Price Art & Design was approached in 2020 by the producer to create the poster for an upcoming independent film, this film, Winners & Losers was featuring at a few film festivals.

Design Challenge:

The poster had to portray the two leads of the film in a manner that hinted at some of the thematic and story-driven aspects of the film. It had to evoke an idea of rivalry, and the film's tagline had to feature on the poster as well. Otherwise, creative liberty was completely issued to Daniel Price Art & Design here.

Creative Solution:

Using different colours of fire to evoke the rivalry aspect, as well as deeper passion and dynamism of the sporting aspect that finds its way into the film. The leads are depicted in relevant hues in a sort of 'team colours' manner. The two colours drives much of the visual direction for the rest of the composition and alludes towards further points in the story arc of the two characters.

Project Results:

The film won commendations and awards at a few of the film festivals it was involved at, with this poster being the face of the film.
