Project Description: St. Christopher's Church Summer Services (2023-4)

Client: St. Christopher's Anglican Church

Project Overview:

Going up after Christmas Day 2023, this project was simply to advertise the schedule of services happening during the summer holiday period.

Design Challenge:

The client required a suite that clearly communicated the dates that services would run at an adjusted time for the holiday season with a little bit of summer Christmas flair. These needed to be formatted for St. Christopher's usual formats: square thumbnail, landscape, and portrait.

Creative Solution:

Simplicity was key for this project, the busy Christmas period was finished for the church - so a simple, modern, sleek design to evoke a relaxed atmosphere was used. A fun image of a beach and a seashell Christmas tree was paired with the key information, which was pruned to the minimum - only the time (consistent between each of the three weeks) and date were necessary. This was presented in a minimal, straightforward manner. This advertising was displayed onsite and primarily targeted for parishioners, so information could be really streamlined here - but viewers unfamiliar with St. Christophers could also walk past the advertising and gain everything that was needed to be communicated from the display setting.

Project Results:

The suite successfully was used to advertise the summer services, being displayed from Christmas Day 2023 until the return to normal schedules from the 15th of January 2024.
